26th IAKS Congress

The IAKS congress is the most important international forum dedicated to the planning, designing, funding, and operations of sports, recreation and leisure facilities.

The 26th edition of the IAKS Congress is staged together with the FSB - the leading trade fair for amenity areas, sports and pool facilities - in Cologne, Germany from 5 to 8 November 2019.

IAKS members, organizations, companies and individual experts are invited to submit their ideas or specific proposal abstracts for either a presentation or round table discussion as part of the programme for the 2019 IAKS Congress.

23rd IAKS Congress: A retrospective - Activating urban environment

On its fourth and final day, the IAKS Congress directed its discussions towards providing activating spaces in urban environments. Stefan Siebert moderated the five presentations. Prof. Dr. Robin Kähler spoke about local sports structures in large cities and their contribution to urban development.
